Son of George Bellamy and Iona Morton. Brother of William Bellamy and Kathryn Bellamy and Louise Bellamy.

He was a descendant of Joseph Kerner, founder of Kernersville.rk City, spending his career there as a banker, eventually becoming a vice-president of Chemical Bank and Chase Manhattan Bank. He interrupted his career to serve in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. After returning to live in Kernersville, he was a stock broker with Independence Securities in Greensboro, and Cape Securities in Jacksonville. He was a member at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Winston-Salem.iam Morton Bellamy. Surviving are his sisters, Kathryn Bellamy Keys of Washington NC and Louise Bellamy Edwards of Kernersville; a niece, Kay Keys Pinnix and husband, Joseph Leak Pinnix Jr. of Kernersville; nephews, Robert Cecil Keys III and wife, Julie of Goldsboro, and William Charles Edwards Jr. of Kernersville; four great-nephews, Joseph Pinnix III and wife, Ashley of Cary, Robert Bellamy Pinnix of San Francisco CA, Robert Cecil Keys IV and Chad Smith of Goldsboro; and great-neice, Ashley Smith of Goldsboro; great-great-nephew, Joseph Leak Pinnix IV; and great-great-neice, Ashley Bellamy Pinnix, both of Cary; cousins, Martha Morton Sapp Farmington of Kernersville and Carolyn Bellamy Mallison of Washington NC.01 South Cherry St. Kernersville, and at Main Street United Methodist Church immediately following the service.
