From Family Tree, woods families:at he was borne in Morgan County AL and left there when he was one month old and lived the rest of his life in TN. He enlisted in Dec 1863 and served with Gen. Joe Wheeler's Regiment, Capt/Col Myers, Company and Col Evans Regimental Commander. He stated that he was separated from his command during Hood raid on Franklin TN. He owned 12 acres assessed at $150. He had one daughter (Mabe) age 16 living with him. He was a retired employee of the L and N Railroad drawing a pension of $15 per month. The doctor stated that he was laboring under the disability of "senility".
