Father of Iii Normandy and Robert de Normandy and Hedwige de Normandy. Son of Richard de Normandie and Princess Emma. Brother of Earl Mauger and Count Guillaume.
Richard II held his own against a peasant insurrection, helped RobertII of France against th e duchy of Burgundy, and repelled an Englishattack on the Cotentin Peninsula that was led b y the Anglo-Saxon KingEthelred II the Unready.
