Jocelin or Josceline, of Louvain (thought to have died by M ichaelmas 1180), of Petworth, Sussex, half-brother of Quee n Adela (who presented Jocelin with the Petworth lands), 2n d wife of Henry I, and son of Godfrey I "Barbatus" ("The Be arded"), Duke of Lower Lorraine, by his 2nd wife. [Burke' s Peerage, p. 2118] .eiress of William de Percy and had issue, t he 1st Duke of Northumberland of the 1766 creation choosin g the title "Lord Lovaine, Baron of Alnwick" when also give n a Barony 1784 in commemoration of this ancestral connecti on.
