Died, New Rockford, North Dakota..
Daughter of Howard Hastings and Frances Harbaugh. Sister of Mary Hastings and John Hastings and Katherine Hastings.

Later they moved to Fort Totten. Since she was the only white child of school age in their community, she was sent to St. Bernards Academy in Grand Forks, ND for her education. Here she had ample opportunity to develop her natural ability in music. This training she used later as she was a Congregational Church organist for many years.death in 1934. In 1936, she married Herman Dittman, conductor of the Great Northern Railroad. They lived at Minot and later at New Rockford, where she died July 25, 1945. She was survived by her husband, sister, (Mrs Paul Ridley) and brother, John J. Hastings. (Oberon book)
