http://search.ancestry.comdied 01 January 1979 and was buried at Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. Mac grew up at Trenton, Northumberland County, Ontario and apprenticed as a butcher while going to school. In 1907 he came west and landed at Munson, Alberta, where his aunt and uncle lived. In 1908 he started a butcher shop in Munson. He worked at that until the First World War started. He was in the first regiment to join uop in Munson in 1914. He was a machine gunner and was "mustard gassed" at Vimy Ridge in 1917.land north of Perdue. There he met and married (Ethel)Irene Noble who had come to Canada from Sparta, Wisconsin with her aunt and uncle.born 25 November 1900 at Sparta, WI.
