Gilbert, 81, rural Chamois, MO., formerly of Levasyin Jackson County, died May 14, 1994 at the home. Services willbe at 11 a.m. today at St. John's United Methodist Church, Linn,MO.; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Linn. The family suggestscontributions to the church. Mr. Gilbert was born in White Hall,AR, and lived in Levasy before he moved to Chamois in 1978. Heworked for the Allis-Chalmers Corp. for 14 years, retiring as asupervisor in 1978. He was a member of the Linn Masonic Lodge.He was a member of the Church. Survivors include his wife, MarieSchowengerdt Gilbert of the home; two daughters, Alma JeanneGilbert Best, Grain Valley in Jackson County, and Mary ElizabethGilbert Potter, Blue Springs; three sons, Leon Francis Gilbert,Wellington, MO., Leroy Ernst Gilbert, Blue Springs, and DavidAlexander Gilbert, Olathe; a sister, Cora Boillot, Linn; threehalf sisters, Mildred Lippich, Helen Tabor and Bertha Roberts ofFlorissant, MO.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
