Father of Mary GOTTSCHALL and John GOTTSCHALL and Abraham GOTTSCHALL and Samuel GOTTSCHALL and Christian GOTTSCHALL and Catharine GOTTSCHALL and Henry GOTTSCHALL. Son of Mary Geil and Samuel Godshalk. Brother of William GODSHALK and Mary Godshalk and Agnes Godshalk and Samuel GODSHALK and Jacob Godshalk and Nancy Godshalk. Half-brother of John Godshalk and Mary Godshalk and George GODSHALK.

--He was ordained to the ministry in the Minnonite church. in 1824, which he faithfully served during the remainder of his life.
